Covered Hopper Capabilities

Covered hoppers are designed for top loading through roof hatches and efficient unloading through outlet valves or gates. These features support a wide range of handling systems and allow for controlled discharge depending on the material being transported.

Our fleet includes railcars equipped with gravity gates, pneumatic outlets, and pressure differential systems to facilitate product movement from the car interior. With leasing options typically ranging from 2,700 to 6,500 cubic feet, covered hoppers can be matched to both volume requirements and unloading capabilities.

These railcars are commonly used when protecting materials from moisture and contamination is critical, making them a dependable solution for dry bulk and specialty commodity shipments
